Go Elijah Cummings Go!
I can’t believe that I am about to give Donald Trump, Bully in General some credit. He is the master of deflection. Deflection is what he does after he feels the heat or wrath that’s about to come upon him. He so cowardly takes to Twitter and starts lambasting those that have the nerve to expose his corrupt and failed government by changing the narrative. All too common, he changes the narrative with his racially charged criticism against Nancy Pelosi or some prominent politician of color.
Trump’s latest attack came upon Rep. Elijah Cummings, D-Md., who just happens to be the Chairman of House Oversight Committee that’s courageously investigating the claims of corruption within Trump’s Administration. Anybody that knows anything about the working of our government would know that Rep. Cummings is dutifully doing his job. Contrary to what Trump may think, he is not above the investigating powers of Congress, nor is he above the law.
Has anyone noticed that when Trump starts his immature and unpresidential like name calling or labeling of others, it is not only a deflection tactic but a reflection of himself? In one of Trump’s tweets he called Rep. Cummings a bully. Trump uses the power of the presidency on a daily basis to bully and frighten Americans; yet, he had the audacity to call Rep. Cummings a bully.
Trump tweeted that Rep. Cummings’ Baltimore district is a “disgusting, rat and rodent infested mess.” I contend that if you really want to see a disgusting, rat and rodent infested mess, then looked at Trump’s Administration, and you will see a White House full of fat, rich and white rats that have infested our nation’s capital with their hypocrisy, lying, scheming, white power hungry and racist ways.
Go Elijah Cummings Go! Go and do the job that some of your Republican colleagues refuse to do. Investigate Trump until the truth is verified. The institution of the Senate and Congress have been so cheapened by the cowardice and fear of its members that have succumbed to Trumpism, that it’s going to take a man with Rep. Elijah Cummings’ courage to protect the democracy of this country.
Go Elijah Cummings Go!
