We are women called to discipleship to grow in knowledge and experience of God, committed to support the mission of the church, and empowered by the Holy Spirit. We are challenged to help one another engage in ministry and action, and grow and respond in faith to God's plan for the church, the society, and the world.

The Feeding Ministry provides meals to persons in the Greater Richmond Metropolitan Area who are food insecure every Wednesday. We are a Food Bank Partner agency serving over 300 meals weekly.

The Bethel Boutique provides clothing and toiletries to men, women, and children who are among the homeless population in the City of Richmond however, it does not exclude persons from surrounding communities if in need. The Boutique is open on Wednesdays servicing those persons whom are fed by the Feeding Ministry. The Bethel Boutique also provides clothing for "Back to Work" men and women who are referred by the City of Richmond's Department of Social Services.

The Third Street Bethel AME Prison Ministry, under the leadership of Reverend Carl Melvin, journeys to the Beaumont Correctional Center for males (14 to 18 years old) every third Sunday from 7:00pm - 9:00pm.
